Humbled and Honored: Speaking at cf.Objective() 2011

Posted on January 21, 2011 at 5:47 PM in ColdFusion

Hot off the presses (I think it's still hot after a couple of hours?) is the schedule for cf.Objective() 2011. Over its history, cf.Objective() has proven itself as the leader in quality speakers and content. This year's schedule is just over the top. Unbelievable.

I am deeply humbled and honored to be among such a distinguished group of speakers. While I am no stranger to public speaking, this will mark my first presentations at a programming-related conference. I hope to not drag down the reputation of the other speakers. At least not too much. :-)

Registration is open, and it is well worth it. If you can make only one conference this year, cf.Objective() 2011 should be the one - even if you do not attend one of my sessions! ;-)

Speaking of my sessions, they are:

Forms That Don't Suck (Quick, Easy, & Clean Forms and Data)

If you are like me, you hate forms. They are a complete PITA. They suck. Well, they use to, anyways. Nowadays I use cfUniForm and ValidateThis for virtually all of my forms. This session will focus primarily on using these two popular frameworks/libraries together in your applications.

(Abstraction + CF9 ORM) == "Modeled in Minutes"

This topic will focus on the concept of using abstract objects in conjunction with CF9 ORM to quickly model an application.

I plan to post more on these topics over the next few weeks. But, in the meantime, I just want to close by once again saying THANK YOU! to the fantastic folks behind cf.Objective() 2011. You have put together a stellar conference once again, and I am grateful to be a part of it.
